Shyam Kumar,
Director, CEO & Global Head
Distribution and Institutional business

Shyam Kumar is Director & CEO of Kotak Mahindra (UK) Ltd. and Global Head - Distribution and Institutional business.  He has the overall responsibility for business development in Europe, driving the sales effort globally through distribution channels and facilitating the effort of institutional sales in various regions.

Shyam has been associated with the Kotak group since April 1992, starting with the Corporate Finance division of Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd. (now known as Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.). In April 1997 he shifted to Kotak Securities Ltd., Kotak’s broking & distribution arm, where he was initially responsible for the Private Client Services division and later on became Regional Head of North India. He then moved in early 2001 to become the CEO of Kotak Mahindra International Ltd. based in Dubai and there on to Kotak Mahindra (UK) Ltd. in London in early 2005. Shyam is also on the board of Kotak Mahindra Inc, New York & Kotak Mahindra (International) Ltd, Mauritius.

Shyam is a Master in Commerce (Financial Management) from Mahatma Gandhi University, India.
